Pre-Visualization into finished Concept of "KIN" for Lightwaves 2022
KIN was an interactive installation which converted sounds generated near the 3D printed ears around the sculptures corners into light via LED strips that fed directionally from each ear into the larger centre structure, this was emphasized even more so when all of the ears received sound simultaneously to trigger a showstopper event. Meaning working with people around you would create a bigger spectacle but experiencing it alone would still yield a rewarding experience.
The concept behind KIN was to show that while working alone can be enough, working together as a community can be greater - a KIN to the community.
